Professor Wasswa Balunywa, the Principal at the Nakawa-based Makerere University Business School (MUBS) says the institution doesn’t tolerate examination malpractice. While addressing MUBS teaching assistants on Tuesday 22nd February 2022, Professor Balunywa said MUBS cannot compromise her integrity and gave them an assurance of zero tolerance to examination malpractice.
“MUBS has remained strong amidst many storms because we don’t allow to compromise our integrity. Students’ exams are ‘sacred’ and the school doesn’t compromise with anyone involved in examination malpractices.” Professor Balunywa said.
The MUBS Principal also cautioned the teaching assistants on remaining humble and prioritizing success of students. Prof. Balunywa requested them to love their work and take advantage of the already existing staff programs. Balunywa also asserted that the youngest employees are the most important.
“The most important employee in the organization is either the youngest or the most recently employed,” he added.
Professor Moses Muhwezi, the Deputy Principal advised teaching assistants to be sincere, read, have a fountain of information, and correct information. “Identify yourself, exhibit intellectual leadership through critical thinking and analysis.” Professor Muhwezi told teaching assistants.
