As Makerere University Business School (MUBS) completed the examination week, little did they know that a unfamiliar situation was yet to surface from the office of the Guild president.
After being elected earlier this year, beating his competitors with a landslide victory, the new guild president Mr Ogwang Robinson is now allegedly being accused of embezzlement of about 21 million of the guild funds.
The shocking information came from one of his cabinet member who wasn’t pleased with what Mr Ogwang has done with his office. This cabinet minister whose curiosity was arisen when the different members of the guild started getting different amounts of their allowances.
Our inside source revealed that there have been no allowances given to some of the honorables since they took office, including some G.RCs, course leaders and some ministers on the cabinet. This all going without explanation from the guild.
“The guild president treated himself to a lovely trip to Kenya which he was accompanied with five of his ministers yet it was a trip supposed to be for the whole guild cabinet” said an anonymous source
This prompted the Deputy prime minister Mr. Ssekta who took to his WhatsApp status update to try and call out the student leader to make accountability of the money that his cabinet had been given by the university board to fund their different campaigns while in office.
“Robinson, please don’t involve innocent Hon. Ministers and the speakers Chambers in your dirty politics” he said on his WhatsApp status “they have never had a meeting to discuss removal or reshuffle of any executive member” he added.
He further added “I am also asking or advocatimg for the accountability of the allowances of the Hon. Ministers, G.RCs and course leaders because they recieved different amounts and many didn’t get their money”
No comment has yet been gotten from Mr. Ogwang Robinson on this alleged case.
