MUBS Guild president-elect, Jorum Matovu alias Jojo has kick-started off his term as student leader on a rather tight and worrying note. News in the beehive indicate that the chubby guild president has reportedly ‘sold’ the MUBS annual trade bazaar to former guild president, Yorum Banyenzaki.
The Bazaar, that is organised by the students guild annually will now be organised by the ex-guild president because inside sources reveal that the current government has no funds to organise it. According to inside sources in the FDC camp, Yorum Banyenzaki who was very visible in the guild campaigns that saw Matovu Jorum become guild president had a motive to take over the organisation of the bazaar and be the one to take majority profits that shall be gained.
The swap deal was reportedly agreed with a one Eria Nuwahereza doing a Bachelors of Human Resource Management in year two who badly wants the post of Social Affairs minister to see to it that he (Yorum) takes control of the MUBS bazaar.
“Unlike the old Bugingo Patrick Guild government that sat down and devised means to get funds on how to organise the bazaar, the current government has failed to have a unified team to devise means,” a source told website.
The controversies are those that are not about to end anytime soon. The new government is already finding internal oppression as greed for power roots within. The bee will be buzzing on more from the MUBS guild politics.
