Makerere University Business School (MUBS) has hired Ugandan gold medalist Dorcus Inzikuru as new MUBS athletic coach ahead of the 4th Alumni run.
The former common wealth steeplechase title winner was unveiled as the new athletics coach during the 4th Annual MUBS Alumni run. Inzikuru who is a MUBS alumnus thanked the university management for the opportunity given to her.
“MUBS gave me university education and now it has employed me as the athletics coach for the school. I am grateful to management.” Inzikuru said.
Inzikuru won the first 3000 meter common wealth steeplechase title and since then, she has remained an icon in Ugandan athletics and her employment in the same field is no surprise.
Mandela group of companies, one of the sponsors of the MUBS Alumni run, pledged to always support the run and also handed over trophies to Professor Wasswa Balunywa the principal at MUBS. These were presented by Mahad Twaha who represented the company at the event.
The tickets for the 4th alumni run are priced at 20,000 Uganda shillings and can be accessed at all MUBS campuses.
The proceeds from the run will help support the MUBS disability scholarship scheme, an initiative that helps students with disabilities struggling financially.
