Makerere University Business School (MUBS) is mourning the death of Edwin Napakor, a lecturer in the Department of Marketing and Media Studies, who passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
According to a death announcement issued by A-Plus Funeral Management on behalf of the university and the family, Napakor was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kapongol Abrahams of Morukatip Central, Tororo District. His passing has left the academic community, colleagues, students and friends in deep shock and sorrow.
Napakor served as a lecturer at MUBS, where he was known for his dedication to teaching, mentorship and contribution to marketing and media studies. Colleagues describe him as committed, professional and passionate about nurturing young minds, particularly in communication and business-related disciplines.
The university community has paid tribute to him as a hardworking academic whose impact extended beyond the lecture room, touching many students through guidance and support.
Burial arrangements indicate that a vigil will be held at the family home in Tororo Town on Friday, December 26, 2025, at 4:00pm. A Requiem Mass will take place at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Tororo, on Saturday, December 27, 2025, starting at 10:00am. Burial will follow at the family’s ancestral home in Morukatip Central Village, Tororo, on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 10:00am.
Relatives, in-laws, friends, students and colleagues have been informed and are expected to attend the final send-off.
MUBS management, staff and students have extended their condolences to the bereaved family, remembering Edwin Napakor as a valued member of the academic fraternity.
