A section of Mubs and Makerere university students are happy while others are furious over the postponement of the end of semester examinations that were meant to be written on Thursday.
The office of the Prime Minister declared Thursday a public holiday to allow students, lecturers and the general public closely follow the swearing-in events of the President elect, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
The papers that were meant to be done on Thursday have been pushed to May 30th.
“I can’t stand waiting for just one paper that long…why the hell must we have to wait till 30th instead of doing our paper on Thursday. Why does the gov’t have to force us to witness the damn swearing in?” One of the students told Campus Bee.
The two campuses (MUBS and MUK) which were supposed to close the semester on Saturday May 28th will push the closing date to Tuesday May 31st.
