Makerere University released the private admissions list for the academic year 2023/24 last week and some applicants were dissatisfied with the outcomes.
The academic registrar at Makerere University has since then urged all dissatisfied applicants to appeal for reconsideration with July 21st set as the admissions appeal deadline.
Having missed on the first list, messing up your admission appeal would be the last thing you want to do.
Below is a step by step guideline to help you rightly appeal your admission;
First, you are required to come up with a well written letter of appeal indicating your form number, O and A level index number, course you had applied for and justifiable reasons why you should be reconsidered.
Having written your letter of appeal, print out a copy of your application form, your O and A level results and proof of admission fee payment.
Attach these copies to your letter of appeal and submit it to Senate Building Level 3.
As you appeal, beware of fraudsters who may disguise as those of good will with an intent of robbing from you. To avoid this, seek guidance from the university’s official offices and not from strangers.
The office of the academic registrar will then look through your appeal and successful appellants will be published. These will then join those earlier published and will report to campus on August 19th for their week-long orientation.
