In line with the recent world pandemic that is Covid-19, the Makerere University Business School (MUBS) administration has left nothing to chance by ordering an emergency fumigation on all campus door knobs, handles and other high risk objects to ensure the safety and good health of its inhabitants. An act thought of by many as seemingly abrupt and impulsive.

Students at the university reacted in support of the administrative act but nevertheless some have no understanding of what was going on and acted in protest insisting that, and I quote “We do not have bedbugs in class.”

Students have since then been encouraged to carry mini hand sanitizers on their person at all time and avoid as much as possible, unnecessary contact.

“With the pandemic getting closer to Uganda by day,  nothing should be left to chance. Initiatives have already been made to try to contain the virus where it stands but individual effort from all members in the society is required.” quoted Francis Abili, a continuing student at the University.
