On Tuesday this week, Campus Bee in a story titled “6 dirty tricks MUBS Students use to pass their exams” exposed the dubious ways that the students at the Nakawa-based university have relentlessly fielded to overcome their examination hurdles for a while now.
The story raised too much debate and criticism on and off social media with some saying these tricks are true while others saying they are not.
In a twist of events, MUBS main Don Professor Wasswa Balunywa voiced his concern over the matter late last evening.
Prof Balunywa through his Facebook timeline acknowledged that there have been such kinds of examination malpractices and have tried as much to iron them out in the irregularities meetings
“True we have caught some students using all kinds of methods as is noted in our examination irregularities meetings,” he acknowledged.
Balunywa further admitted that these people exist and MUBS trying its best to stop the vice. He further took sometime off to hail Campus Bee for bringing to limelight, these dirty tricks.
“Campus Bee thank you for bringing this out. Good to learn on your disclaimer statement also,” he appreciated.
He later called upon all the stakeholders to fight this disease that is eating up the social status of MUBS.
“Let’s work together to get rid of this cancer or minimise it,” Balubywa posted on his timeline.
