Associate Professor Sudi Nangoli, an academic from Makerere University Business School (MUBS) has been announced as the new managing director of Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation (UPPC).
Nangoli was handed the office of managing director UPPC at a ceremony held at the Corporation on Monday. He takes over from Kenneth Oluka who has been the acting MD since 2021.
The office became vacant after the arrest of Mr. Tom Davis Waswa, the then MD following fraud allegations at the national printing corporation.
Oluka while handing over office on Monday said there’s lack of cooperation amongst workers at the printing corporation, a challenge that Nangoli has to solve in his first days as managing director.

The new MD holds a Ph.D. in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration majoring in project management.
Prof. Nangoli has been a member of senior management at the Makerere University Business School (MUBS), since 2014 where served as the Ag. Dean at the Faculty of Business Administration.
He has previously been Dean and Programme Controller in charge of the Faculty of Management Sciences at Busitema University and sits on the Board of its Fund Company.
Prof. Nangoli has undertaken international consulting assignments in reputable organizations like the Institute of Certified public accountants in Uganda, the Somali Disaster Resilience Institute, and Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) among others

According to the UPPC act 1992, the managing director is appointed by the board and is responsible for the management of the funds, property and business of the corporation and for the administration, organisation and control of the staff of the corporation.
