Makerere University Business School (MUBS) has announced the opening of scholarship applications for first-class students for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The scholarship program aims to promote learning by encouraging, supporting and granting financial assistance to outstanding students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
MUBS will award scholarships to two students from each of the non-specialized Master’s Degree programs, three students from each specialized Master’s program in Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Leadership, and one student per program at undergraduate level across MUBS Main Campus and Regional Campuses.
The scholarship covers 100% tuition waiver, though beneficiaries must pay registration and functional fees. Recipients will be required to maintain a minimum CGPA of 4.40 and may be assigned departmental duties for up to 10 hours per week on a non-remunerable basis.
To be eligible, applicants must possess an admission letter to a MUBS program for the current academic year and hold a First-Class degree from programs jointly offered by Makerere University and MUBS or First-Class Diploma from MUBS programs.
Age limits apply, with degree and master’s applicants not exceeding 26 years and diploma applicants not exceeding 20 years.
Application forms are available from Block 5 at the reception desk and the deadline for submitting completed applications is Monday, August 11th, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
The scholarship is renewable annually for graduate programs and valid for three years for undergraduate programs, subject to satisfactory academic performance.
