MUBS student who was set to graduate in January burnt to death

Immaculate Kebirungi, a student of Makerere University Business School (MUBS) has been burned to death in her rented room in Nakawa.

Kebirungi had just finished her course in BBA majoring in Accounting was supposed to graduate in January 2019.

Details of Kebirungi’s death remain scanty but she was found tied on bed, strangled and house set on fire using petrol.

Her body was last evening taken to Mulago before burial in Rukungiri district.

It’s alleged her boyfriend, a one Solomon who claims to be working in Germany was not happy with her.

Friends say Kebirungi had refused to stay with Solomon who is believed to have bank rolled her in their happy times.

Her sister says their last chat was about Solomon and friends being at her house.

The Police is yet to comment on this incident.

In 2012, another MUBS student was strangled and lover held by police.

A city mechanical engineer was held by police over the suspected murder of his girlfriend a Makerere University Business (MUBS), third year student of Business Computing.
