News reaching our desk has it that for students of Makerere University Business School (MUBS), the internship assessment method of preparing internship reports may be fazed out very soon.
On Saturday 22nd June, 2019, the Guild Education Minister for MUBS, Ms Jalia Naziwa Lumumba, passed a communication saying that preparing internship reports could be trashed by the school. She further added that the school might switch to giving sit down tests to students after the internship. They believe that this method could yield better results from the students.
What does this mean for the students taking internship? This means that students have to pay more attention to their internship, take it serious and do their best. These are the key areas to put into consideration; be smart, be time conscious, ask questions, show determination and commitment. Make sure you get all the experience you can get from the internship. You don’t want to fail that test.
However, the school administration had not yet released an official statement about this change. We shall keep you posted about this new arrangement.
