During the recently concluded security week at MUBS, Uganda Police operatives had the chance to live chat with students.
DPC Moses Elau who represented IGP Gen Kale Kayihura as the guest speaker cautioned students to stop taking weed and other related drugs in hostels.
This, he said in relation to the incident weeks back where students from Bahesi hostels were arrested while taking weed.
Students were also warned against gambling away their future. Some of the main resolutions reached between the security operatives and the students include:-
-Moving with documents of identification all the time especially IDs
-Avoid moving in the wee hours of the night to and from hangout places
-Stop Sports Betting as its a gate way to theft and other related vices
A WhatsApp group named MUBS SECURITY is to be created from where students will freely interact with police officers directly in case of any security concern or Alert.
Effective next Saturday morning,MUBS students will be welcome to join the Free police exercises at Kyadondo rugby grounds.
A vote of thanks was given to students for keeping the institution (MUBS) strike free and to the administration for constructing a perimeter around the library.
