The academic community at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) is mourning the loss of Mr. Dick Musoba, a respected Teaching Assistant in the Department of Applied Statistics and Management Science, under the Faculty of Economics, Energy, and Management Science. Mr. Musoba passed away on the evening of Saturday, August 31, 2024.
Mr. Musoba was a well-regarded figure in the department, known for his dedication to both his students and his field of expertise. His contributions to the university and the broader academic community were significant, and his loss is deeply felt by colleagues, students, and friends alike.
In honor of his life and service, a Requiem Service was held, Monday, September 2, 2024, at St. James Chapel, MUBS, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Following the service, Mr. Musoba’s body will be transported to his ancestral home in Busangai, Bulako – Sibanga, Bubulo West County, Manafwa District. Burial arrangements will be communicated at a later date.
The news of Mr. Musoba’s passing has cast a shadow over the university, with many remembering him as a dedicated educator and a kind-hearted colleague. His absence will undoubtedly be felt within the Faculty of Economics, Energy, and Management Science, where he was known for his commitment to academic excellence and his warm engagement with students.
