MUBS’ beauty queen Sydney Nabulya who is also Miss Tourism Uganda 2022 has been on vacation ever since she was announced winner of the Miss Tourism peagent on 23rd September at Kampala Serena Hotel.
‘Honeymoon’ is over for Sydney and it is time to work again with a new project dubbed a “homecoming”, where she and other pageants will go on a countrywide tour.
The tour’s aim is to promote tourism sites in the different regions of Uganda that include Karamoja, Kigezi and Buganda, where the current queen comes from.
She will tour alongside Miss Popularity, Miss Photogenic, Miss Congeniality, Miss National Costume, Miss Talent, Sports Queen, Miss Heritage and the Uganda Wildlife Education Center brand ambassador, among others.
On Friday 28th October, Miss Tourism Buganda Sydney Nabulya Kavuma Visited Kalagala Falls where she engaged in a number of activities including blood donation.
She said: “Promoting and exposing the tourism potential embedded in this site to the world is our objective.”
Speaking at the event was the Buganda Kingdom Minsiter of Culture, Tourism and Palaces, Owek. David Kyewalabye who urged Miss Tourism Uganda Sydney Nabulya Kavuma to promote the Kalagala falls site.
Miss Tourism Uganda is celebrating 10 years and this year’s peagent was held under the theme; “Re-thinking Tourism.”
