As the long awaited Makerere University 72nd graduation ceremony week draws closer, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) academic registrar continues to tip the public about a few facts regarding the graduands.

The latest revelation is that more MUBS female prospective graduands will attain First Class honors compared to the male counterparts.

“MUBS female students outshine their male counterparts on the 72nd Mak Graduation Ceremony first class list. According to the school registrar’s office MUBS, more females have obtained first class degrees as compared to male students. Congratulations to all those who have excelled,” a communique read.

According to data shared with this website, 65% of all MUBS students to graduate next week are ladies while the males represent with a ‘rat’s share’ of 35%.

The data is good news to girl-child-education activists who often argue that the females struggle a lot in their education journey.

On a light note however, MUBS female students seem to have undermined the infamous record of being more of socialites than academicians.
