The College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT) at Makerere University is slated to hold a two day open day that is meant to showcase their latest fashion and design exploits.
According to a communication seen by Campusbee, the CEDAT open day is officially opening today through Saturday, with the expected guest of honor being Rt. Hon. Ruhakana Rugunda, Uganda’s Prime Minster.
Running under the theme “Enhancing employment opportunities for today’s youth through technological innovation,” CEDAT’s open day is intended to showcase the latest innovations at the college billed by many as ‘Makerere’s home of innovation.’
CEDAT came to prominence particularly in recent years after a team of engineering students built an electronic car, Kiira EV, that captured the imagination of the entire country.
What striking innovation do they have to unveil this time? We are watching.
