MUK DON Appointed As Chairman NRM Electoral Commission

MAKERERE: Ex-MUASA ( Makerere University Academic Staff Association) chairman Dr
Tanga Odoi has been appointed as Rukahana Rugunda’s replacement as NRM
Electoral Commission Chairman.

He is among the newly appointed officers in respect to the recent
amendments to the NRM constitution.

Rugunda was appointed Prime Minister mid this year and so his term as
the commission’s chairman was termed with the recent amendments to the
party’s consititution.

The other people appointed are; Justine Lumumba as Secretary General,
deputised by Richard Twodong while Rose Namayanja has been appointed
party treasurer and she will be deputised by Dr Kenneth Ondoga.

Odoi worked as a chairman for MUASA for a period of four years,
handing over the position to Dr Muhammad Kigundu last year.
