Makerere University graduate, Mr. Allan Kabaale is has released his book, Beating the Odds today (April, 8) Friday afternoon. The launch happened in the university main library.
According to the message contained in the book, his ambition is to motivate people as well as educating them, “I realized that many people have excuses of not doing certain things on the notion of our gender, level of education, disabilities, education background, which limit what we can be or achieve in life,” Mr. Kabaale informed our reporter on Thursday.

As the saying goes, disability is not inability, Kabaale is a lawyer by profession, attained his degree from Makerere University in 2019, former GRC of students with disabilities and a guild minister in the 81st guild, disability rights activist, legal consultant, public speaker, a mentor, an alumnus of Professional Fellows Program of USA, an alumnus of Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) of Kenya among many others.
His disability, he added didn’t stop him to compete in different positions, and was able to sit in many offices because of the determination.
“After believing that anyone can achieve their desired goals in life, it motivated me to pursue my goals and I am still standing.”

He started writing this book (Beating The Odds) in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown, with belief to help many because it’s for all, regardless of different demographics.
“The book is cross cutting all ages ranging from juveniles to elderly,” Kabaale noted.
The lawyer, attributes the encouragement towards writing the book to his friends, family and followers on his social media platforms who trust his writing skills.
“My followers on social media platforms, my wife, always encouraged me to write basing on the information I always post on my socials,” he added.
Kabaale was a Mitchellex during his campus days at Makerere University.
