Wednesday afternoon turned dark after sad news circulated revealing the death of Star FM station manager and presenter Mulindwa Muwonge. Muwonge who has been hospitalized at Nsabya Hospital for about one week, died of hypertension.
Mulindwa who also doubles as a sibling to TV presenter Sumaya Muwonge, has been a law student at Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU). According to his boss at Star FM, Charles Bwanika, the deceased radio personality had just finished his law course and was waiting to sit for his Law Development Centre (LDC) entry exams on August 1st.
Before joining Star Fm, Mulindwa was a presenter at the Buganda Kingdom owned CBS FM where he established his status as one of the most respectable media personalities in the land. Various personalities have been describing the veteran journalist in a number of ways including his former boss who revealed that he cannot write a book about his life without Mentioning Mulindwa Muwonge.
His younger sister, Sumaya Muwonge describes her brother’s death as losing a father and a great hardworking man. We cannot mention all the touching condolence messages from the country but the fallen journalist is generally described as a passionate and respectable media personality.
