In commemoration of the National Library day, Muni University will launch an ultra modern online library consisting of millions of books and articles, the biggest of its kind in Uganda.
Library week and 2016 Library Day is from November 28 to December 2, and the university council has already opened a free online library accessible to all students and is set to crown the Library week with a free Library exhibitions on December 2, 2016.
Though not so much is known about, this West Nile-based public university, because it is hidden in the outskirts and jungles of Arua District, Muni University boasts of one of the biggest library plat forms in Uganda. The donations from the Government of Uganda and World Bank have seen the institutions main library packed with books of all ages that you will barely find in other institutions.
Although the university currently has very few science courses, books of engineering and other core fields of science are innumerable at the campus. It is rumoured that some students use these books to improve on their English and probably sound scientific yet they are first year education students.
To mark the Library week, the university will launch its biggest online Library and hold a public exhibition with several fun-filled activities like reading competition, plays and poetry, and sale and exhibitions of several items with literature as the majority. The event will take place on December 2, 2016 under the following Agenda.
