Some of the restrictions were lifted such as private cars were allowed to carry up to four people as long as they have put on masks and allowing public and private transport to resume in some of the border districts that are not risk of coronavirus.
On the issue of schools, the President said that they can not open them now because they still learners to be safe.
“Schools and universities to remain closed, we still need the 15 million Ugandans alive. Those who want schools open are the number one enemies of Uganda,’’ he stated.
On the issue of private academic institutions that were disrupted by the lockdown, President Museveni revealed that they shall be given low interest capital to resurrect their businesses.
“Ministries of Education and Gender should register people affected by the lockdown such as private universities, private secondary and primary schools so they can be helped, not with free money but cheap capital when their activities resume,’’ He concluded on the issue of schools.
