Former Makerere University research fellow Dr. Stella Nyanzi has in the past weeks been nursing a heartbreak caused by her ‘lover’.
Though the publicly known foul-mouthed Doctor, who is currently based in Germany, didn’t mention who it was that had broken her heart, it is a public secret that she was having an affair with National Unity Platform’s muscular activist and head of institutions David Musiri.
While Musiri had already fathered a child with another woman, him and Nyanzi stayed together till months later when their relationship became sour.
Sources privy to this romantic relationship claim that Musiri had stopped giving Nyanzi as much attention as he used to because the latter was no longer offering financial support to the former’s expectation.
There is also an allegation that Musiri, who wants to secure a NUP flag to run as Member of Parliament for Makindye West, had to end his relationship with Stella Nyanzi who publicly punches holes in Bobi Wine’s leadership.
Over the weekend, Stella Nyanzi’s hopes of reuniting with her lover were completely dimmed as Musiri David proposed to his baby mama in a move that some have considered political.
“Over the moon, This evening, at Sheraton hotel, I couldn’t be happier to announce my engagement to my long-time friend, Eng. Nabacwa milcs. Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating this monumental step; your support is what keeps us strong,” Musiri said in a post on X after the proposal.
Musiri’s proposal comes at a time when the celebrated activist is gearing up for 2026 parliamentary elections. This, therefore, has ushered in diverse perceptions on the development.
Some people in the political circle allege that there was need for Musiri to be seen as someone who is responsible enough among his constituents and within his party the National Unity Platform.
This development is a plus for the politically charged activist and lover boy who is tirelessly working to impress the NUP bosses in his pursuit for the Makindye West flag.
