Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) has announced the appointment of Mr. Vincent Kwatampora Kansime as the new University Secretary.
This appointment was effective from July 1, 2024, according to a decision made during the university’s 99th Council meeting.
Mr. Kwatampora has been with MUST for six years, serving as the Head of the Procurement & Disposal Unit. His leadership capabilities are further evidenced by his role as Chairperson of the Senior Administrators’ Forum and his participation as a Council member.
He takes over from Mr. Melchior Byaruhanga, who dedicated 27 years to the university, with the last six years as the University Secretary.
The university extended its heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Kwatampora via the official announcement on X.
The University Secretary’s role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity, efficiency, and effectiveness of the university’s administrative functions, thereby supporting its mission of academic excellence and research.
