Over the weekend, the 9th edition of University Football League (UFL) resumed at different venues. On Saturday 29th February 2020, Kyambogo University hosted Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) at UCU play ground in Mukono.
Reports coming in from our sources in the MUST football camp suggest that the visitors reached a little bit late at the venue due to transport issues and this gave the hosts (Kyambogo) a chance to utilize their time for training. That after 15 minutes of their arrival, MUST players were ordered to enter the pitch by the referee.
Within the first 20 minutes of the game, MUST was playing well until it clocked the 28th minute when Mukwata Peter blocked the dead lock for Kyambogo after rebounding the ball that was punched by MUST’s goal keeper Ernest who was injured in the process and substituted for Sande Blick (Power).
Within the next 10 minutes, Ssekidde Robert scored two more goals to make it 3 nil in favor of Kyambogo. In the second half, Kyambogo and MUST added one goal each through Adeele Tom and Agaba Lino respectively to make it 4-1.
