Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) is one of the public universities in Uganda and like any other in that category has harbored inefficient service delivery.
Students from this institution have cried out to the administration for the lack of electricity at night, something they say has been going on for weeks now.
Whatever the problem with electricity could be, it has not been identified yet but power is on during day time and as soon as it clocks 6 pm the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Faculty of Business and the Faculty of Computing are switched off automatically from the electricity source.
“This forces all the students who want to read to go to the library and the Faculty of Medicine which have less space due to the influx of the numbers.” A student, Ampeire told Campus Bee.
“The first time I thought it was a general problem, second day I thought it was a blackout but finally got to know that it was only on the selected faculties and this has really hardened my reading life at campus.” Ampeire added.
Exams begin in a week’s time.
