Esther Nambalirwa, a student at Makerere University has come out to expose her lecture, Dr. Nicholas Itaaga for having used and dumped her, Campusbee reports. Nambalirwa claims that Dr Itaaga infected her with the deadly HIV virus and then went ahead to hook a fresher who looks more stunning than her.
The affair dates back to 2014, when Nambalirwa had just joined campus. In his class of Economics of Education, and Comparative Education, sources tip that the two were always staring and glancing at each other during lectures. “She has always scored straight As in this course unit but suffered with other papers. I believe the lecturer was hitting it,” a source told this website.
The fall out
Sources have it that soon after Nambalirwa joined second year, this relationship hit the rock bottom. Dr Itaaga would later leave Nambalirwa for more “fresh and sexy” freshers. At this point in time, the student seems torn, broken and above all infected. She has gone ahead to share screenshots of her email conversations with the lecturer. But do this e-mail conversations prove anything? See for yourself!
In another screenshot, this student contradicts herself saying that the lecturer “refused to pay her.” In this case, was it sex for money, marks or love?
Lecturer speaks out
In an exclusive phone interview with Campusbee, Dr. Itaaga refutes these allegations. “It is very wrong, there is no truth to that propaganda at all. People are just trying to tarnish my image. They are trying to fight my promotion as Head of Department, Foundations and Curriculum Studies, School of Education, College of Education and External Studies. I am not infected in the first place. I can offer my blood to anyone to test from anywhere,” Dr Itaaga on Thursday morning said.
