Time and again, Campus Bee has stressed the fact that style is not following fashion trends but a deep understanding of oneself and the ability to express it in your dress code. No one brings out the true sense of our meaning better than Douglas Dubois Sebamala, a finalist of Journalism and Communication at Makerere University.

This Don rocks his world with a default bow-tie which he matches with either shorts or trousers. I know we have seen bow ties from time to time but while many can only incorporate them on a three piece suit, Douglas rocks it effortlessly in both casual and formal.

This bow tie collector is particular on being distinct (does not put on what everyone would). He will rock a bow-tie and not tack in! With all the uniqueness however, Douglas follows the rule of coordinating colours.

“I am more a suspender guy than belts but whatever it is; I match it with the shoes.” Douglas told Campus Bee.

Douglas also revealed to the Bee about his ability to dress up in future fashion aspect.

“I have always had a futurist eye. In my primary, I wore skinny jeans and they used to make fun of me that I was wearing girls’ clothes so I dropped them because of the criticism. And then in my secondary, Bingo! They were trending.”  He revealed with an all knowing shrug.

To match his dress code, Douglas keeps a mild Mohawk and a goatie that he vowed not to cut off or trim for a year (all of 2016). He also carries Ray ban sun glasses to enhance his smartness.

“We have been made to think it’s a woman thing to dress up but a man who dresses is a man who respects themselves.” Douglas quoted.

This fashion Icon is also a talented dancer doing; Latin, contemporary, barley, and modern dance. He is also a journalist working with Daily Monitor and Wiz Arts Media in Ntinda.

As if that’s not enough talent for one person, Douglas adds acting to his capabilities. He has featured in films, plays and series. Among the projects he has worked on is Greece, an American Musical where he played John Travolta, Shakespeare’s MarcBeth and Much Ado about nothing, films like Beauty to Ashes among others.
