Nabisunsa Girls’ School senior six vacists on Saturday walked away all smiles with shs1m cash prize after flooring students from over 30 schools in the first Victoria University Vacists Social Media Challenge. The challenge was held at the main campus, Jinja Road.
This social media challenge’s a task was; senior six vacists to research for a month and later debate about social media platforms most especially WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube; how harmful they are; Does Social Media increase social interaction & connections? Are Social networking sites disasters spoiling children and nothing more than tools for Narcissists & Internet Trolls?
The activity at Victoria University is the latest in a series of events aimed at empowering vacists to make good choices before entering tertiary institutions.
