Prof. George Mondo Kagonyera today presided over the Ndejje University’s 21st graduation ceremony as the chief guest. During the ceremony that went down at the university’s main campus in Luwero, Prof Kagonyera noted that Ndejje University’s campus reminds him of Stanford University in California.
“I was last here 20 years ago during the first Graduation Ceremony of this University. I was struck by the beauty of your campus. It reminded me of the Campus of Stanford University in California.” Kagonyera said.
While speaking about the improvements at the university, Kagonyera wondered why something can be done by Harvard University and not Ndejje.
“I thank all the stakeholders of this great University for the tremendous work done which is evident from the increased numbers, the infrastructure, the new faculties and of course the good name the University has created in this country. Why Harvard and not Ndejje?” Kagonyera wondered.
Kagonyera also congratulated the graduands before urging them to contribute to the skilled labor force of the country, which according to him is going to boost the national socio-economic development of the country.
Also present at the ceremony was the university’s Vice chancellor Prof. Eliabu Lugujjo who assured the graduands that they will always be welcome despite finishing their education journey.
“When you leave campus today, you will have turned a page on an amazing chapter in your life and will continue to write your story. But I hope you remember that no matter where your journey takes you, you are always welcome here.” Lugujjo noted.
