You’ve got to be creative, independent, optimistic and above all,smart! Unless you want to sit and wait for money from your parents but let’s be honest, it is never enough.
Olive Nankya, a student from Ndejje University Kampala campus is one of those ladies that loves to get her hands busy. Whatever she touches, surely transforms. Olive is a third year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication.
There is so much Olive does but her passion and talent is in make up and hair styling. She has grown her talent from just doing ordinary make up for her friends and has started doing make up for brides on introductions and weddings. She styles hair and finally gives the bride a facial make over at 200,000 shillings. Her packages differ depending on a number of factors.
Olive started her business in her vacation and has seen it grow. She not only gets money for herself but also gets money to pay half of her tuition at school. Clearly not your ordinary Kampala slay queen waiting for money to come her way.
Aside from the hair styling and make up, she also does wedding decoration, hires out gomesis and also gowns. Her shop is located in Seeta. So while you’re out there sucking it up in your comfort zone, Olive is building her empire already.
