Ndejje University has been given the green light to host this year’s East Africa University Games slated for mid-December. After emerging overall winner at last season’s East Africa University Games at Jomo Kenyatta University in Kenya, Ndejje has been considered to host this year’s inter-University games after voting selection by the event organizers.
This year’s games are expected to start on 15th December 2017 at the main campus in Luwero and the gala will bring together over ten universities across East Africa.
Ndejje university topped last years EA games with 95 medals – 36 gold, 29 silver and 30 bronze.
According to a letter addressed to the university from the organizers, Ndejje University has been chosen because of its enormous sporting facilities and active participations in the past EA games. It will be the second time Ndejje will be hosting the games after Uganda Christian University hosted the same event in 2015.
A number of Universities in East Africa have already confirmed their participation in the gala and preliminary studies are being conducted by the event organizers to draft a timetable and match dates as early as possible to avoid inconveniences.
