Ndejje University has set October, 12th, 2018 as the date for this year’s graduation ceremony for last semester’s finalist students of both Kampala and main campuses of the university. The graduation ceremony will take place at the main campus in Luwero District as a number of students will be awarded Masters, degrees, diplomas and certificates in various courses.
Last year, Ndejje passed out a total of 2,800 students in its 19th graduation at a time when the university celebrated its silver jubilee. However, the number of graduands this year is expected to increase depending on the fulfilments and clearance of the finalists. Each graduand is expected to have paid all university dues and be clean from having missed papers.
For one to graduate, he or she should clear with the university by 14th, September 2018 so as to be able to pick their invitation cards by 21st of the same month. Graduands are also expected to pay a total of UGX 543,000, UGX 233,000 and UGX 593,000 shillings for Bachelors, Certificates and Masters graduands respectively.
According to the academic registrar, Dr Mary Wanda, the above fees will cater for the graduation handbook, transcript, gown, convocation fees among others.
Although some finalists, especially in the engineering faculty, have not yet received some of their marks, the graduands will be expected to attend a one-day commencement lecture on Friday, 5th, October 2018 at MTN Arena Lugogo starting at 09:00 am where the graduation packages will be handed over to the graduands.
This year’s graduation is slated for October 12th, 2017 with certificate holders graduation happening a day before at the Kampala campus. Graduation cards shall permit only two visitors accompanying the graduand.
