As the end of first semester draws closer, Ndejje University’s St. Paul’s Catholic Community held a thrilling Christmas carols presentation over the weekend to relieve student of stress and also mark the end of the the four-month stay at campus.
The gospel show that was organized by the Religious committee of St. Paul’s Catholic community of Ndejje attracted students from neighboring schools, friends, well wishers and old students of the university.
Despite the fact that Ndejje is an Anglican affiliated University, there is freedom of worship for all religious sects and all religions are respected and well catered for.
After the hectic choir practices, students clad in their choir gowns ushered guests and all those who attended to the forth coming Christmas season with their angelic voices.
According to the chairperson Ndejje University Catholic community, Nancy Nansaalo, a second year student of electrical engineering, the carols were meant to usher students to Christmas season and remind them of the birth of Christ Jesus.
Schools which attended were Ndejje Vocational S.S and Nandere Minor Seminary who surprised people with their young soprano from the small boys of senior one.
The Ndejje University St, Paul’s Catholic community chaplain, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Sita Ssekabungo who also doubles as the rector Nandere Minor Seminary as well as the Parish Priest Nandere Catholic Parish asked the students to receive the joy that Christmas brings by meditating on the Christmas carols songs and put the message into practice.
“Let these Christmas carols prepare us to warmly receive baby Jesus as well as nourish us to end this semester well,” Rev. Fr Sita said.
