Swangz avenue singer Vinka aka Veronica is a fresh graduate from Makerere university who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in tourism. She was also an artist manager to singer Irene Ntale during her stay at the Muyenga based record label. Vinka discussed her campus life with Campus Bee’s David Mujuni.
Vinka’s personality at campus was not like the way everybody would imagine it to be. She describes herself as a reserved, down to earth person who never had a boyfriend throughout her campus life. Both at campus and in her musical career, Vinka assures to maintain the same personality.
Balancing books together with her artist managerial job was a bit hectic for her as she reveals that she at one point got a re-take. “Yes I did get a retake …. I was an artist manager but yeah I did everything at the right time” reveals the Stylo Singer.
The biggest question that has been on people’s minds is that how could an artist surrounded by parties never organized a lavish party after her just concluded graduation ceremony. To address this point, the Swangz Avenue singer revealed that she organized a simple luncheon with her family members. “Lavish party??? Hahahahha, however did it have to be lavish? I had a luncheon with my family,” Vinka revealed.
After getting used to the music industry, Vinka also reveals that she will in future consider doing her professional job (tourism) as her income source as well as music at the same time.
Vinka’s unforgettable campus moment has something to do with Saturday lectures which the singer says she will live never to for, however, sealed her short chat with our writer by advising freshers to attend all lectures. “Freshers should endeavor to attend all classes, these lecturers give abrupt tests” She concluded.
