Nile Breweries Limited (NBL) the makers of Nile Special, Club Beer and Castle Lite among several other beer brands have heard the troubles Ugandans are going through to get their favorite beers at home while they self isolate and stay safe in this 42-Day COVID-19 lockdown. Their online sales website (www.beernow.ug) has transformed with tailor-made offers for Ugandans aged 18 and over, who can now order and purchase beer brands online and have them delivered to a location of their choice.
Unlike last year, where Ugandans could order even two beers, the minimum order this time is 10 beers. The most beautiful offer however is that transport is free when you buy a crate this time round. However, orders below a crate too don’t have a load of transport attached, the customer pays between Shs 3000 and 5000 depending on their location.
The beernow.ug service is available for all consumers country over. The brewery has put up teams distributed country-wide to take your orders and work on your deliveries.
We labored to interview some Campusers who have interacted with the beernow.ug platform to exchange their experiences using it and the reviews are full of praise. David from MUBS told Campus Bee that he was particularly pleased by the swift response when his beer was delivered in under 60 minutes.
“You don’t have to start planning for tomorrow’s drinks today. If you’re drinking tomorrow at 6PM, you just order on that day at 3PM, you’ll have your beer before 4 and have it in the fridge till 6.” David said.
“There is a requirement, in the process of ordering that asks one to confirm that they’re of legal drinking age – above 18 years. Once you complete that, your beer as is good as ready. You start warming your throat.” Thomas Mukasa of Kyambogo told Campus Bee.
