A nasty accident happened yesterday evening on Jinja road in the section between Mbiko and Kitigoma in Buikwe District. The collision happened after two over speeding taxis heading to Mbale and Busia respectively rammed into a Fuso that had lost control.
Over 10 people lost their lives on the spot including a lady in a Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi graduation gown who was from attending the 22nd graduation ceremony of the Mpigi based university. This unidentified lady had just graduated a few hours and was perhaps traveling back to host celebrations at her home. 
The others who perished in the accident include MP Cyrus Amodoi representing Toroma county in Katakwi District and several other Mbale and Busia district officials. May their souls Rest In Eternal Peace.
