Nkumba university has slated its freshers’ orientation for the August 2021 intake for Friday 1st October. The orientation shall be held virtually through Zoom. Its therefore high time vacists that applied to join Nkumba University got themselves ready to start their first university classes.
Despite the release of the orientation date, Nkumba university is still struggling to admit more students as admissions for the August 2021 intake remain open with only a few days left to the freshers’ orientation.
Although the Entebbe based institution is one of the oldest private universities, it still struggles to popularize itself among students amidst strong rivals such as Uganda Christian University and Victoria University.
Nkumba university has been one of the very first higher institutions of learning to call for applications for the 2021 intake as most university remain silent, battling to conclude their previous semester that was disrupted by the sudden closure of learning institutions. Institutions of learning were closed in June 2021 for a second time since March 2019 when they were first shut down.
Nkumba university called for applications to their August 2021 intake earlier this year and the semester which was meant to start on 26th September was postponed to October. The first semester for the August 2021 intake will therefore start Friday 1st October with the freshers’ orientation.
