A Nkumba University security Guard identified as David Namara working with Securiko Group is having sleepless nights behind bars after his long fingers landed him in deep trouble. The crafty man was arrested last week in the wee hours of Thursday morning after he attempted to vanish with Shs 4.2 million, airtime worth Shs 100,000 and a card reader worth Shs 30,000 that he stole from the university canteen owned by Godfrey Arinaitwe.
The security guard was arrested by his fellow guard on duty who heard a lot of falling objects inside the canteen. The guard was shocked after he spotted crafty Namara attempting to escape through the roof of the canteen.
The guard threatened to shoot the fella after he spotted him popping out his head and peeping around as he plotted to vanish with his stolen items. He quickly returned inside the canteen where he was arrested and taken to Mpala Police Station where he is paying for his sins.
Police later stormed his home in Kitala and recovered other stolen items including a computer monitor, Nkumba University envelopes and other electronic devices. Highly placed sources revealed that the foxy man requested for two days off from work and deceived his bosses that he had traveled to the village but he hid around and had planned to use the two days to execute his robbery.
