Nkumba University Student Knocked Dead

Sorrow and grief has engulfed Nkumba University main campus in Entebbe after one of its student was knocked dead on Wednesday at 9am as he was going to campus.

The deceased identified as Andebo Richard, a second year student was pursuing a degree in Information Technology.

According to eyewitnesses, the deceased was knocked by a speeding taxi near the newly constructed Imperial Mall.

Eye witnesses also told this online publication that the driver of the taxi ran over the deceased twice killing him on spot.

The deceased used to commute to school everyday from a relatives home at UPDF Marine Base in Entebbe.

The body of the deceased was transferred to Mulago from Entebbe Grade B for postmortem.

The driver was arrested and detained at Entebbe Police station to help with the investigations. The taxi was also impounded at Entebbe police station.

Andebo’s body will leave for Arua, the ancestral home, tomorrow, 19th April, 2018.
