Following a story published by this website last night and today morning about a suspected Al-shabab terrorist, Police have come out to assure the MUBS fraternity that no arrests were made and that the campus is under tight security.
Deputy Police spokesperson in her notice said: “I REGRET TO INFORM ALL OF YOU ON THIS FORUM THAT THE INFORMATION ABOUT THE ARREST & FURTHER PARADING OF A TERRORIST AT AKAMWESI HOSTEL IS FALSE. NEITHER HAS SUCH AN ARREST BEEN MADE, NOR ANY CONTACT MADE WITH ME BY ANY MEMBER OF THIS FORUM IN CONNECTION TO THIS NEWS. FURTHERMORE, ANY INCONVENIENCES CAUSED BY THIS UNFOUNDED PIECE OF INFORMATION IS HIGHLY REGRETTED.”
Earlier reports indicated that a suspected Al-shabab terrorist was arrest around Akamwesi hostel by the security personnel.
