Makerere University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof Barnabas Nawangwe today morning had a meeting with officials at the office of the prime minister which was aimed at clearing the reputation of the University on the false COVID-19 test results in its lab.

“A meeting held at the office of the prime minister today following a directive by HE President Museveni has confirmed that there is no conflict between Makerere University and the Ministry of Health as alleged by sections of the press” said Prof Nawangwe, in a Facebook post.
In attendance to the meeting, was the acting Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Moses Ali, Minister of Health, Dr. Ruth Aceng among other officials.
