The Miss Tourism Kigezi Beauty Pageant crowned Faith Ainembabazi a student of National Teachers College Kabale (NTC) last Friday.
This was during a beauty pageant at Kisoro Tourist Hotel where the 21 year old Ainembabazi beat five other participants in a tight competition.
Shortly after being crowned as Miss Tourism Kigezi, Ainembabazi vowed to come up with ventures that will make Kigezi’s tourism exposed to the outside world.
“I feel the vigor to promote this region more than ever before. I cannot settle with this crown until I see Kigezi’s tourism shine forever,” said Ainembabazi.
The second year student pursing a diploma in Education was followed by Margaret Kankwanzi from Kisoro district and Emily Atuheire from Kyambogo University who emerged as the first and second runners up respectively.
Among other winners of the night include; Winfred Katushabe from Rukungiri as the face of Kisoro Tourist Hotel while Susan Busingye from Kanungu was selected as the face of Bwindi-Mgahinga conservation area.
Emily Atuheire won the Miss Popularity category while Winfred Katushabe scooped the Miss Culture crown. After painting Lake Bunyonyi with her own hands, Maureen Bitamba Owomugisha from Kabale District was crowned the Miss Talent.
