Oktoberfest, the world’s largest beer and food festival is back after a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19.
The Oktoberfest Kampala 2022 edition is scheduled for October 1st, 2022 at Jahazi Piar, Munyonyo.
This year’s edition will be graced by His Excellency Mathias Schauer, the German Ambassador to Uganda.
The 2022 Oktoberfest was unveiled at a press conference held on 1st September 2022 at Sheraton hotel Kampala.
Speaking on behalf of Nile Special, the headline sponsors of the edition, John Paul Ssemakula the connections manager at Nile Breweries called upon all beer lovers to make the Oktoberfest a must attend.
“Nile Special is all about celebrating what makes us unique as Ugandans; our culture, our food, our hospitality and most importantly our people. We are so excited to be partners in this year’s Oktoberfest and we would like to invite all beer and food lovers to come and celebrate with us,” he said.
The Oktoberfest will feature a number of renown artists such as Maddox Sematimba, Myko Ouma, Mudra, Sir Aludah among others.
Revelers will also battle for goodies in costume competitions, arm wrestling, eating competition, beer straw challenge, beer pong and tug of war.
Early bird tickets for the 2022 Oktoberfest fest can be bought through Stanbic Bank’s flexipay at only UGX25,000.
Entrance at the gate (Jahazi Piar) will go for as low as UGX 35,000.
The Oktoberfest is the world’s largest beer and food festival held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany and other parts of the world.
