The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) is gearing up for the National Population and Housing Census, scheduled to begin in May, and they are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join as enumerators.
Roles and Responsibilities: As an enumerator, you will play a crucial role in the census groundwork. This involves tasks such as mapping out village-based census areas and engaging in door-to-door community mobilization. During the census period from 9th to 19th May 2024, you will collect valuable information on individuals, households, institutions, and communities in your assigned enumeration areas.
Qualifications:
- Ugandan aged 18 – 50 years.
- At least an “A” level certificate or its equivalent, with a credit in English and Mathematics at “O” level.
- Recommendation from the local authorities in your LC 1 area.
- Good conduct, sound mind, and fluency in local languages spoken in the enumeration areas.
- Knowledge in basic computer applications.
- Valid National Identity Card issued by NIRA.
Additional Information:
- Smartphones will be required as a backup in case Tablets malfunction or are delayed.
