Keen to avoid embarrassment as the Friday 27 January deadline communicated to them by Samiiha Nalwooga’s lawyers nears, Makerere University has hastily released the entire results of the 4th year student.
CampusBee recently reported about a letter sent to MAK’s VC Prof. Ddumba by Samiiha’s lawyers on 24th January threatening to impound vehicles of top university management and imprison the Academic Registrar Mr. Masikye Alfred for disobeying a Court Order.
The Order had directed the University to immediately release Samiiha’s results and compensate her with Ugshs 30,000,000/=.
In a letter sent to Samiiha’s lawyers today morning that CampusBee has seen, the Academic Registrar has attached Samiiha’s entire results and also stated that the same are also available online on the AR’s website. For purposes of Samiiha’s privacy, CampusBee shall not publish the letter here.
The letter conspicuously makes no mention of when payment of the Ugshs 30M will be made.
Our sources at the Senate Building where Mr. Masikye’s office is located have intimated to us that since receiving the 24th January letter, the AR has become very rare at office.
“He suspects that Samiiha’s lawyers will come to effect his arrest anytime, seeing him nowadays only happens if you have an appointment. Even then, that’s only after one has been thoroughly vetted by his Secretary,” our source informed us.
Samiiha has expressed elation at this development.
“I am sooooo happy I don’t think I will sleep today. I never thought this nightmare would come to an end!”
