Not so long ago, we prophesied that the #SaveSomeone trend will not fade away in Uganda partly because Ugandans have a caring and giving heart. From saving lecturers, students, babies, parents to saving anyone who needs that kind of urgent help.
Raymond Bamwesigye is a second year student pursuing Bachelors in Business Administration [BBAD] at Makerere University Business School [MUBS].
Bamwesigye was attacked by unkown assailants in June last year, and he was beaten to the extent of breaking his spinal cord which left him paralysed. “We took him to Mulago Spinal ward where his neck was wired after an operation but his lower body still remains paralysed and on a wheel chair,” added his father who we managed to talk to earlier today.
In June this year, his parents met doctors from India who promised that if Bamwesigye could be flown to India, he could deal away with the paralysis and become normal again. 46 Million Ugandan Shillings [$13,400] is what is needed to help Bamwesigye get back to school again.
