Dinner events come in handy with style and fashion, elegant dresses at display, beautiful jewellery and stilettos are just a must wear. This was no different from the Grand finalist dinner, 2016 of Makerere University’s school of Social Sciences that took place at Imperial Royale Hotel Kampala on Saturday, 16th April 2016. The glittering evening stayed warm and dry as they entered through a stage photo shoot right into Imperial Royale’s Scarlett hall.
The turn up was averagely good with about 70 students attending. A little shock however came in when the ladies out-competed the males’ presence.
No drugs or alcohol were entertained at the official function. The event that started at 8:00pm was just genuine and accorded each and everyone with the feeling of calm fun. The calm great fun brought about new life, new growth and new beginnings as people got lost in smiles and colour.
Chairman Organising Committee, former GRC, school of Social Sciences, Mubangizi Benedict had something to say, “Memorable events like such nights re-unite us.” Voila!!! Souls re-united. The band sung like the birds do in the little hills of “Kapchorwa and Bundibujjo.”
At around 10:10 pm, the 4-course meal was diligently self-served as amazing food tables were set up already, hence the dinner definition.
Red carpet moment for couples who were a bit few had their minutes of fame. Again!! The other exciting part of the undercover brothers band. Students were lost in memories by the sweet voices and sounds the three good looking males of the band produced.
The event that gracefully ended at midnight was indeed a night to remember for students of social sciences, and yes; a story to tell.
