Pastor Martin Ssempa has taken the lead in rescue efforts to save Makerere University government sponsored students that are starving from hunger following the delayed release of their food allowances.
The food comes as an addition to the monetary support Pastor Ssempa had earlier sent to the leaders of the government sponsored students.
The pastor urged Ugandans of good will to join the efforts to save the starving students.
Makerere University government sponsored students walked in protest last week to university administration Senate building seeking urgent intervention from the administration to save them from hunger.
The students allege that they are being kicked out of their rentals due to failure to pay rent while others are starving to near-death because they don’t have money to buy fend for themselves.
